Olá pessoal,

Segue no link o texto para fazerem o exercício de inglês instrumental. Lembrem-se de agrupar em cores (ou outra forma) palavras afins para facilitar o seu trabalho no momento de skimming (buscar ideia do texto).

Observem que há algumas poucas palavras iguais/parecidas com o texto que trabalhei em sala com vocês (Putim).

Espero que tenham uma experiência agradável com este exercício. Quero trabalhar textos simples como este, depois faremos a mesma coisa com textos sobre informática.

Brasil  2014 – Airports on the list of priorites

         It is over  a year since FIFA announced that Brazil would host the World Cup but so far not much has been done. The first investiment Will be the expansion and modernization of the airports.

         Brazil is way behind(1) in organizing the next World Cup , with  about two years to go. It may seem like a long time, but it s not. In July 2010 the Brazilian government announced investments of R$ 5.6 billion in 13 airports in the 12 host cities. The biggest investment Will be made in Cumbica airport, in Guarulhos, which Will have R$ 1.2 billion to spend on expansion and modernization. The government has drawn up (2) a listo f 51 priority projects for Brazil to enjoy a successful World Cup. Sports Minister, Orlando Silva, says that the most urgent need are in airports, ports and infrastructure. The government estimates that Brazil Will be visited by 600.000 foreign tourists during the World Cup. In addition, another three million Brazilian tourists Will mobilize to the host cities during the games.

Security

       According to an article published by the newspaper Folha de SP, the Government is to spend 1.6 billion in the next few years to guarantee security for tourist, athletes, journalists, and fans during the World Cup. This Money Will go mainly toward (3) Police equipment and training. This is double what South África spent on security at the 2010 Worls Cup.

PUTIN EXPLAINS WHY HE WANTS TO BE THE PRESIDENT OR RUSSIAN AGAIN. - Feb 2012

Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin went on TV today to explain why he was trying to becoming President of Russia again. He talked a lot about how Russia had to let independent organizations develop a democracy. This is ironic because he had closed a lot of independent organizations that were against him and put many of their leaders into prison. He also said that many of the problems and protests that were happening in Russia were started by foreigners.

After he spoke for an hour, a woman asked him what he was trying to do with Russia. Putin laughed but then answered seriously. He said that he wanted the minority to have rights, but he also wanted the minority to respect the majority.

Another person asked him why he was trying to become the president again. Putin said that he wants to be the President because the constitution of Russia says he can be the president again. He also said that in many countries like Canada and England, the leaders are in power for 10 to 14 years, but no one says that those countries are dictatorships.

During the time he was on TV he said many times that many of the problems in Russia today were created by foreigners

Russian Elections are on March 4th and everyone thinks Putin will win. If he wins, he will be president for 6 years.
